In close cooperation with
US Spine, EDGE Medica’s engineers and designers solved the challenging problem of creating a delivery device design that would be able to handle the multiple tasks involved in performing minimally-invasive insertion of facet screws during spinal surgery. Design considerations for the device to withstand the rigorous facet torque and device clamping force requirements that are involved in this type of implant required extensive engineering and risk analysis to assure reliability and meet cost constraints.
